Heretic Soul was founded in 2004 by drummer Erhan Karaca and guitarist/vocalist Sarp Keski in Istanbul, Turkey. Since their formation the band has experienced several member changes. It has kept its current lineup since 2006 and recorded its first demo the same year, titled Everything is Meaningless and Grey. The demo contained seven tracks but it wasn't initially introduced to the market. When it was finally released, it was featured in several local magazines such as Yüxexes, Blue Jean, Rock Station and Deli Kasap and some webzines abroad (Metal.pl) with positive criticism. Heretic Soul also performed its first live show in 2006 and after that the concerts were accelerated. Besides Istanbul, live shows took place onstage in Ankara, Bursa, Zonguldak, Yalova and Kocaeli. Meanwhile, work on a new promo CD, Life Becomes Our Grave was accelerated (read review here). The promo was recorded in 2007 in Midas'in Kulakligi Studios in Ankara. Heretic Soul plays raw, primitive death metal with melodic guitars and elements of thrash metal. Close comparions can immediatley be made to Sepultura, but also Swedish metal legends like Entombed and Unleashed.
