Style: Punk/Metal/Rock

I honestly haven't heard shit this good and original in a long while. The Saints play a style fusing punk rock in the vein of The Misfits, Bad Brains or Suicidal Tendencies with the metal sound of Pantera or Superjoint Ritual. Lead vocalist/guitarist Chris Webster spits and distorts his vocals, sounding like a manic preacher over the band's metallic punk sound. At times, he adopts a Dave Mustaine-like snarl. Drummer Ben Webster and bassist Jason Vculek. complete the three-piece band.

This two-disc album, featuring 2005's A New Kind Of Patriot and the band's previous album, Anti-Hero, contains a total of 26 songs. Movie samples used throughout add a cool vibe to the release and there's enough variety here to keep your full attention. There's even a Southern rock boogie on a number of tracks--check out "Perfect." Standouts include "A New Kind of Patriot," "Divine Comedy" and "Victim." There isn't anything that warrants skipping on either disc. You even get a cover of Body Count's "Cop Killer"!

The best thing The Saints have going for them is originality. They have their own raw style derived from strong influences. The punk metal sound is heavy, fast, humorous and catchy. This is great music that needs to be heard.

Band bio (taken from their myspace page):
The Motherfuck'n Saints (originally known as T.H.O./BLaNK/The Saints) were formed in the spring of '98 in rural Malcolm, Nebraska by Jason Vculek (bass, guitar, backing vocals), Chris Webster (bass, guitar, lead vocals), & Ben Webster (drums). We started playing because we love loud, fast, hard-edged music (old Metallica, White Zombie, The Dead Kennedys, The Misfits, Zeke, Body Count). At that time, the only thing around was cheesy rap metal and pussy punk. We wanted to make something real w/ no frills & no bullshit! We do everything ourselves on our terms and we do it our own way. This is what we eat, sleep, and breathe. We may never go anywhere but @ least we'll keep the integrity we started with. If you don't respect that than you don't understand. Both our 2005 album A New Kind of Patriot and our 2007 Burn, is made one by one by us (we copy the covers & burn the discs). We also slapped our other album, Anti-Hero, on A New Kind Of Patriot for those who don't have it. So beware... we are The Motherfuck'n Saintsand even though we may not go anywhere-we won't go away!
