Style: Death Metal
Simply put, Ydin is brutal death metal sung completely in the Finnish language. The violent imagery of their album covers matches their equally violent music perfectly. Their lead vocalist is named Punishment, if that tells you anything, and this shit is some of the wildest and most extreme metal you'll likely ever come across.

YDIN - 'Silvottuna ja häpäistynä' EP
Ban bio:
Ydin was formed in 2003 in northern Finland. The lineup (Punishment - vocals, Ahmis - guitar, Kangas- guitar, P.Massacre - bass and Löytynoja - drums) was found quickly and the style of the music was clear: Raw death metal sung in the Finnish language.
After active training and songwriting during the Christmas of 2003, five songs were composed. The band put them out in Coffin studios which was operated by Löytynoja. The recording session was quite long but in autumn 2004 Ydin's first recording, Verityöt, was released. This piece of art, which glooms with visions of death and coldness, was sent to different media outlets for review. The overall feedback was quite good.
In February of 2005 Ydin entered Coffin studios once again to record the follow-up to Verityöt. This time the recordings were done in just four days. The name of this album was Silvottuna ja Häpäistynä. Soon after the recording session Löytynoja decided to leave the band. Ydin did not want to stop and started an active search for a new drummer. Searching continued, but finally they found their man in Kuusisalo. New blood fit the band well and the lineup had its baptism of fire on September 11, 2005 in a restaurant named Vieska in Ylivieska. Evidence from the gig is the live video from Kylmä Ydin and No.1 pt. 2.
Silvottuna ja Häpäistynä was finally released while Ydin continues work with its violent music and the band is ready to take their show live.
