STONERIDER: TROUBLE WALKIN'
The four members of STONERIDER
might be familiar to some, as they previously were in the thrashier Southern-tinged rock band FIGHT PARIS. But as guitarist Neil “Staxxx” Warren makes clear in the following interview conducted by Live-Metal.net’s Greg Maki, the old band is dead.

  GOREFEST: SCREAM BLOODY GORE!
Formed in 1989, The Netherlands' GOREFEST had a strong run of death metal releases before shifting styles and eventually parting ways in 1999. Luckily for the metal world, the band reunited in 2004 and have released two more albums, returning to their original brutal style of no-nonsense death metal. Jeff Maki of Live-Metal.net talked with guitarist Frank Harthoorn about their new album, Rise To Ruin, the band's break-up and reformation, and all things death metal.

  BLEEDING THROUGH'S MARTA PETERSON : 'DEARLY DEMENTED'
Live-Metal.net's Jeff Maki sat atop a dark stairwell with BLEEDING THROUGH's Marta Peterson prior to the band's gig at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. for an intimate interview. Despite her dark onstage persona, she is a normal, down-to-earth, lovely, person. The obvious questions were asked about topics such as being a female in a rock band and her cover issue of Revolver, but Maki also got some dirt on new BLEEDING THROUGH music, the continued success of The Truth and how the band ended up opening for HIM.
     
  MEGADETH'S SHAWN DROVER: THE MORE THINGS CHANGE
The faces are new, but in 2007, MEGADETH is as strong as ever. In James Lomenzo (bass) and brothers Glen Drover (guitar) and Shawn Drover (drums), Dave Mustaine might have assembled the strongest lineup since MEGADETH’s heyday.   WITHIN TEMPTATION: SWEET EMOTION WITH SHARON DEN ADEL
In September  2007, WITHIN TEMPTATION has returned to the United States for their first headlining tour here. During the tour's stop at the Recher Theatre in Towson Md, Jeff Maki and Jason Price sat down with the "ice queen" of WITHIN TEMPTATION before the show for a lengthy and insightful interview. Following the tragic events of Dec. 8, 2004 at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio, the worldwide media naturally focused on the murder of legendary PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN guitarist Dimebag Darrell Abbott. Chris A. saw another story. Three others lost their lives that night, heroes who went to Dimebag’s aid even as the gunman was still on stage. While early recordings and on-stage corpse paint suggest that DIMMU-BORGIR is a black metal band, In Sorte Diaboli, just like their previous release Death Cult Armageddon, combines so many styles that it is now up for debate. In a recent interview, lead vocalist Shagrath talked to Live-Metal.net's Jeff Maki about the "Invaluable Darkness Tour," the new album, Ozzfest and whether DIMMU-BORGIR is a black metal band or not.

was conceived when IN FLAMES' guitarists Björn Gelotte and Jesper Strömblad wanted to try something different from their norm.
