I, the Breather: "Their purpose"

I, the Breather: “Their purpose”

OK, I, the Breather fans, put your fists in the air! Let me hear ya! Anyone? … No? … OK, good. Because even though they are from Baltimore, in our home state of Maryland, we also knew very little of I, the Breather until we caught them opening the Jagermiester stage on the 2012 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival (Bristow, Va.) and then has a chat with vocalist Shawn Spann later in the day. The band released its second album, Truth and Purpose (Sumerian), in early 2012, is Christian and received its biggest break to date by playing the festival. So let’s learn a little more about I, the Breather. Maybe one day we can boast more than just Kix as the biggest rock band to call Baltimore home. (more…)

Vampires Everywhere!

Rising above the ‘Twilight’ stigma
An interview with Michael Vampire

Review by Jeff Maki
——
You could see this one coming—lineup changes, an article and photographs of well-endowed vocalist Maria Brink in Playboy, band promos of Brink dressed in bright red leather military officer attire. HellYeah bands together for new album
Guitarist Tom Maxwell talks ‘Band of Brothers,’ Volbeat tour and more

HellYeah’s newly released third album, Band of Brothers, is the kind of heavy, aggressive record many fans have been hoping for since the news of a band featuring members of Pantera, Damageplan, Mudvayne and Nothingface first broke. Guitarist Tom Maxwell feels that way, too. Prior to the last show of HellYeah’s tour supporting Volbeat, Live Metal’s Greg Maki sat down with Maxwell to discuss the new album, Lamb of God vocalist Randy Blythe’s incarceration in the Czech Republic and more.
