Everyone’s favorite extreme metal duo, Anaal Nathrakh have been busy to start 2014. In January and February, they’e been keeping fans posted about a new album with short updates via their Facebook page. According to the band, Mick Kenney (guitars, bass, drums, drum programming) finished tracking guitars for the new Anaal Nathrakh record on Jan.29th and then flew to England where he recorded vocals with V.I.T.R.I.O.L. (Dave Hunt). They had hoped to have the record done by the end of February and from their recent photo it looks like their deadline was met. (more…)


We’ve been full throttle covering Carnifex and its not-to-be-missed upcoming album, Die Without Hope (review) and now the San Diego, CA death metal outfit are streaming the album in full, and have also posted a lyric video for “Dark Days,” which can be viewed inside. Die Without Hope will be released physically and digitally on March 4th (North America) and March 7th (Europe), 2014 via Nuclear Blast Records.

LOS ANGELES — Rev Theory has returned after a two-year absence with a new single impacting radio immediately. “Red Light Queen” is one of six songs the band has completed, with another half dozen tracks in motion. “‘Red Light Queen’ is three minutes of raw, in-your-face energy about the dark secrets of a society that glamorizes excess to the fullest,” said singer Rich Luzzi. 

The band will hit the road in May on the “Road to the Range” tour. An itinerary will follow shortly, with plans to travel to Columbus, Ohio, to perform on the main stage of Rock on the Range. Puddle of Mudd guitarist Paul Phillips will join the band on tour. (more…)

The 2014 lineup announcement is coming March 31, with tickets going on sale April 5. This year’s tour will find four stages of heavy music and 19 Bands along with freestyle motocross and more. (more…)
