Metallica’s recent Aug. 20th gig in Minneapolis, Minnesota celebrated the opening of city’s U.S. Bank Stadium, the new home of the Minnesota Vikings. Pandora live-streamed the show, which was opened by Avenged Sevenfold and Volbeat for the stadium’s inaugural rock concert. U.S. Bank Stadium holds a massive 70,000 people and the concert was completely sold out. Well, if you missed the stream, Pandora is giving fans the chance to stream the entire live show for free at this location. The band’s set-list included the classics, “Creeping Death” and “For Whom the Bell Tolls,” later cuts like “The Memory Remains” and Metallica’s brand new song, “Hardwired” from its upcoming November 18th album, Hardwired…To Self-Destruct.

Following its successful summer on this year’s Vans Warped Tour and a support slot with I Prevail, Bad Seed Rising has announced the release of its debut album, Awake in Color, scheduled for Sept. 30 via Roadrunner Records. It is now available for physical and digital pre-orders.
Those ordering physical copies will be able to order the CD alone or in a bundle with an exclusive T-shirt. Along with the bundle, fans will receive a commemorative pin. The first 100 people ordering a bundle will receive a signed lyric sheet for the song “Fighting Gravity.” Those ordering digitally will receive the instant grat tracks “I Can Feel You” and “Fighting Gravity.”

The Apocalypse Blues Revue has announced the first dates on a planned extensive itinerary that will bring the band across the U.S. and Europe to support the band’s self-titled debut, released Friday, Aug. 26, by Provogue/Mascot Label Group. The Gourmet Man Food lineup, craft beer selections and daily band lineups have been announced for the second annual Monster Energy Rock Allegiance, Sept. 17 and 18 at Talen Energy Stadium in Chester, Pennsylvania, just outside Philadelphia.
Rock Allegiance will feature a lineup of more than 35 bands on three stages, led by rock Avenged Sevenfold and Alice in Chains, along with Slayer, The Offspring, Breaking Benjamin, Volbeat and many more. Last year’s single-day debut shattered Talen Energy Stadium’s previous attendance high by nearly 10,000 people, with over 26,000 total in attendance, prompting festival organizers to expand to two days.
