Flint, Michigan’s KING 810 hase announced details of a new series of limited engagement live events for their album, La Petite Mort or a Conversation with God, which will see the band offering a boundary-pushing live experience in intimate settings.  The tour is slated to kick off June 9 at Columbus, Ohiuo’s Park Street and will see KING 810 joined by special guest Gost on select dates.

Fans are in store for a unique performance each night, with KING 810 engaging audiences in its intensely personal and often contentious world.  Each evening, the band will be joined by a special guest performer, with each venue evoking the dark themes of La Petite Mort or a Conversation with GodTickets for all dates will go on sale at 10 a.m. local time Friday, April 14. Flint, Michigan’s KING 810 has announced details of a series of limited engagement live events for its new album, La Petite Mort or a Conversation with God, which will see the band offering a boundary-pushing live experience in intimate settings. Presented in 360degree sound, the immersive events are slated for Dec. 15 at the Agora Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio; Dec. 17 at Saint Andrew’s Hall in Detroit, Michigan; and Dec. 18 at Thalia Hall in Chicago, Illinois, with more dates to be announced in the coming weeks.

Fans are in store for a unique performance each night, with KING 810 engaging audiences in its intensely personal and often contentious world. The evenings are set to feature accompaniments from various performance artists, string players and more, with each location undergoing formative transformations to stimulate the senses and evoke the dark and potent themes of La Petite Mort or a Conversation with God. In contrast to the aforementioned live events, the show slated for Dec. 16 at Big Shots in Valparaiso, Indiana, is promised to be a night of outright chaos, with KING 810 bringing to town its trademark performance for an up-close-and-personal all-out war. KING 810 has launched “Revisiting Our History of Violence,” an interactive application that enables users to explore a selection of events and acts of violence throughout global history. The application, which uses both Google Maps and Spotify, takes users to the location of each event, detailing its circumstances with images and commentary from KING 810 frontman David Gunn.

Gunn alsohas launched the “F*CK THE VOTE” initiative as detailed in KING 810’s most recent episode of its YouTube series, KING TV. The episode, “F*ck The Vote: Clinton vs Trump,” details Gunn’s stance on the upcoming election and the electoral system as a whole. Fans can expect more of this sentiment heading into November. KING 810 has released a new track titled “We Gotta Help Ourselves,” which takes aim at the current water crisis in its hometown of Flint, Michigan. KING 810 has announced details of a new North American tour that will see the Flint, Michigan, band supporting Kansas City rapper Tech N9ne on his “Special Effects” spring headline tour. The tour is set to get underway April 8 and continue through June 3, with additional support from Chris Webby, Krizz Kaliko, MURS and ZUSE. A complete tour itinerary will be announced soon. Roadrunner Records group KING 810 have released its official video for “desperate lovers” taken from its debut album Memoirs of a Murderer. The video, which was shot by the band members themselves in their hometown of Flint, Michigan, is streaming now on the band’s official YouTube channel. Watch it below.

Furthermore, KING as been announced as support to Slipknot on the European leg of the band’s “Prepare for Hell” world tour.  The new dates will kick of Jan. 14 in Dublin, Ireland, following the conclusion of KING 810’s current North American run on the “Prepare for Hell” tour. (more…)

It was billed as the “Prepare for Hell Tour,” and there was no more appropriate place to start the journey than Murdertown, aka Flint, Michigan, via that nightmare of a city’s native sons, KING 810. Led by volatile frontman David Gunn, whose fury was never more than barely contained, the quartet brought the spirit of its hometown—that unflinching, survival-of-the-fittest mentality necessary for survival on its streets—to the thousands of early arriving fans in Baltimore. KING 810 released its debut album, Memoirs of a Murderer (review), this week, and it’s hard to remember a new band (new on the national scene, at least) generating such a buzz and such extreme reactions from fans and foes alike. Much of it is due to the Roadrunner Records publicity machine hyping the Flint, Michigan-based quartet’s back story, which quickly has grown to near-mythic proportions. (more…)
