The music lineup, along with food and beverage highlights have been announced for the third annual Monster Energy Rock Allegiance, Saturday, October 7 at the festival’s new location at BB&T Pavilion and Wiggins Waterfront Park in Camden, NJ.

The Northeast’s biggest rock experience will feature over 20 bands on three stages, along with mouth-watering, Philly-centric food offerings, regional and national craft beer, band meet-and-greets, autograph signings, and more for fans from around the country to immerse themselves in rock and roll culture.

The current music lineup for Monster Energy Rock Allegiance is as follows: ‪Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Marilyn Manson, Halestorm, Mastodon, Gojira, In This Moment, Steel Panther, August Burns Red, Beartooth, Starset, Radkey, Bleeker, Badflower, DED, While She Sleeps, Black Map, Greta Van Fleet, He Is Legend, Biters, Them Evils, and more to be announced. Shaun Morgan of Seether

Multi-platinum rockers Seether have announced the fifth annual Rise Above Fest, with some new developments. Due to popular demand, the multi-stage music festival has expanded to two days for the first time in its history.

Rise Above Fest, which supports suicide prevention and mental illness, is the largest suicide awareness music event in the world.

This year’s Rise Above Fest is set for Saturday, July 22, and Sunday, July 23. The event will return to Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion in Bangor, Maine.

The 2017 Rise Above fest lineup is a veritable “who’s who” of rock music, with Korn set to headline Saturday night, alongside Seether, Stone Sour, Skillet, Falling in Reverse and more. Shinedown will close Sunday night’s festivities, on a bill also featuring Halestorm, Theory of a Deadman, Hellyeah, and All That Remains, among others. (more…)

Halestorm has unveiled details of its third EP of cover songs. Produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Alice In Chains, Korn),  ReAniMate 3: The CoVeRs eP will arrive in stores and at all digital retailers and streaming services on Friday, Jan. 6.

Shinedown

Shinedown

Shinedown will headline the 2016 U.S. edition of the Carnival of Madness. The lineup also features Halestorm, Black Stone Cherry and Whiskey Myers. The tour will start July 20 in Southhaven, Mississippi, and travel around the country through mid-August. Pre-sales will start at noon local time Tuesday, March 15; all remaining tickets will be on sale in most markets at 10 a.m. local time Friday, March 18.

The final day of a festival is always slow and sluggish, usually until late afternoon or so, but Santa Cruz, a Finnish band that mixes ‘80s glam metal sensibilities with a more modern attitude, does its best to wake up the early-arrivers. Halestorm has announced details of its highly anticipated third studio album, Into the Wilde Life, which is set for U.S. release on Tuesday, April 7. Pre-orders are available now. Exclusive physical bundles are available at the band’s official web store, http://store.halestormrocks.com/, including a color vinyl version of the LP and an autographed poster.

Halestorm also is set to headline the next installment of the Carnival of Madness, getting underway April 22 at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium and running through May. A fan club presale will begin at 10 a.m. local time Wednesday, Jan. 14, with the general on-sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16.  VIP packages will be available. Rock on the Range, a three-day festival set for May 15, 16 and 17 at Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, has announced a lineup including headliners Linkin Park, Slipknot and Judas Priest.

It’s hard to think of anyone in the 40-plus-year history of the genre who’s more “metal” than Ronnie James Dio. The man practically invented the “metal horns,” for Pete’s sake, a salute metalheads can throw up to each other even if they’ve never met, confident it will be returned happily. As the frontman of Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath and his eponymous band, Dio’s career aligns with metal’s inception, and though his commercial success hit peaks and valleys, for four decades, he stayed true; even in the year before his death—at age 67 from stomach cancer—he was recording and touring with his former Black Sabbath bandmates as Heaven and Hell. (Their 2009 album, The Devil You Know, holds its own with the best of Dio’s discography.) (more…)

BALTIMORE — This year’s Shindig Music Festival, set for Saturday, Sept. 27, at Carroll Park in Baltimore, will feature alternative rock legends Jane’s Addiction and punk rock favorites Rise Against as co-headliners.

Organized by 24-7 Entertainment, the festival’s lineup also includes Gogol Bordello, Clutch, Fishbone, Halestorm, Lucero, J Roddy Walston & The Business, Larry and His Flask, The Mahones, The Bots, Charm City Devil and Bad Seed Rising.
