Zakk Sabbath, the Black Sabbath all-star cover band featuring guitarist/vocalist Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society, Ozzy Osbourne), bassist Blasko (Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie) and drummer Joey Castillo (Danzig, Queens of the Stone Age, Bl’ast!), will release the limited edition Live in Detroit LP on June 16 via Southern Lord Recordings.

Preorders for Live in Detroit are available now via Southern Lord at this location.

The three tracks comprising Live in Detroit were captured at the band’s performance on Oct. 26, 2016, at tThe Fillmore in Detroit, Michigan. Southern Lord will release Live in Detroit as a one time, vinyl-only pressing in multiple color variants. Additionally, the band will have the Live in Detroit LP available for purchase throughout its upcoming tour (see dates below).

The lineup of festival experiences, as well as Eat Local! and national food court offerings have been announced for the 11th annual Rock on tThe Range, America’s premier rock festival, May 19, 20 and 21 at Mapfre Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.

The unprecedented Rock on the Range music lineup includes rock legends Metallica, Soundgarden and Korn each headlining one night, along with performances from The Offspring, Volbeat, Primus, Bush, Live, Chevelle, Papa Roach, Seether, Coheed and Cambria, Alter Bridge, The Pretty Reckless, Taking Back Sunday, Of Mice & Men and many more. Corey Taylor of Stone Sour

Stone Sour will return to the live stage Thursday, May 18, at the Rock on the Range official festival kickoff party at Express Live in Columbus, Ohio.

An exclusive presale for Rock on the Range ticket purchasers is underway now. Tickets go on sale to the general public at noon EST Friday, March 10, at www.RockOnTheRange.com and via Ticketmaster. To celebrate the 11th annual ROTR, tickets will be available for $11 plus service fees.

The exclusive set will mark Stone Sour’s first show in support of Hydrograd, the new album coming this summer. Hydrograd, which the band just completed work on, will be the band’s first studio album since the House of Gold & Bones double album set in 2013.  (more…)

Alter Bridge has added a new U.S. leg to its The Last Hero tour this spring, in addition to its previously announced music festival appearances. The band will be joined at the new headline dates by In Flames on all of the dates beginning May 2, and Metal Church will play the same dates with the exception of the show at the Dream Makers Theatre in Sault Saint Marie, Michigan on May 16. Tickets for Rock on the Range sold out in record time, just over one month after going on sale, marking the fifth consecutive advance sellout for the festival.

Ted Lundström of Amon Amarth

After touring the world this past year in support of their new album, Jomsviking (Live Metal #8 Album of 2016), Amon Amarth will head back out on the road this spring for a USA tour with Goatwhore! Tickets for the 11th annual Rock on the Range have sold out in record time, just over one month after going on sale. This marks the fifth consecutive advance sell-out for Rock on the Range, which will be held May 19, 20 and 21 at Mapfre Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.

Metallica, Soundgarden and Korn each will headline one night of the festival.

In addition, Live, featuring the group’s original lineup of Ed Kowalczyk (vocals, guitar), Chad Taylor (guitar, backing vocals), Patrick Dahlheimer (bass) and Chad Gracey (drums, percussion), has just been added to the festival lineup, along with Of Mice & Men. (more…)

Rock on the Range has been promising its “biggest lineup ever,” and this morning’s announcement seems to live up to that.

Metallica, Soundgarden and Korn each will headline one night of the three-day festival, which is set for May 19, 20 and 21 at Mapfre Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. Overall, Rock on the Range will feature more than 50 bands on three stages, plus comedians in the ROTR Rolling Rock Comedy Tent, the Music Experience, art installations and other activities.

Presale and layaway tickets, as well as limited numbers of new Weekend Field VIP tickets and Premier (hotel and camping) Packages, are on sale now at www.RockOnTheRange.com.

2017 event dates and ticket on-sale information for the World’s Loudest Month festival series have been announced. The World’s Loudest Month, created by AEG Live and Danny Wimmer Presents, continues to break records with its U.S. festival series, which in 2017 will feature the biggest names in rock music performing in eight U.S. concert atmospheres during six consecutive weekends in April, May and June.

In 2016, overall attendance surpassed 470,000 for the WLM festivals held during five consecutive weekends.
