The extensive touring plans come in support of Poison the Parish, its recently announced seventh studio album, set for release via Canine Riot Records on May 12.

“Goddamn, it’s good to be back!,” said Seether frontman Shaun Morgan. “We spent the better part of a year writing and recording Poison the Parish, and now it’s time to get out there and play that fucker to the fans. We’ve been working on some upgrades to the production and the live sound, which includes welcoming our brother, Clint Lowery (from fucking Sevendust!) into the fold to help us thicken up that live sound experience. Through Fire

Through Fire

Through Fire is a new name, but its origins might be familiar to some. Guitarist Justin McCain founded Emphatic in 2004 in Omaha, Nebraska. Behind singles “Bounce” and “Get Paid,” the band started making waves with its second album, Damage (2011), appearing at festivals such as Rock on the Range and touring with Halestorm. Lineup changes in the ensuing years eventually left McCain as the only original member, and as 2015 drew to a close, he and his bandmates decided to wipe the slate clean and be reborn as Through Fire. Now signed to Sumerian Records, the “new” band is pushing its first single, “Stronger,” and gearing up for the release of its debut album–title and date TBA–as it tours the United States on the “Generation Doom” tour, with Otep, Lacey Sturm, September Mourning and Doll Skin. McCain recently called in from the road to talk to Live Metal’s Greg Maki about the band, the single, the tour and more. (more…)

September Mourning has signed with Sumerian Records, released a new video and is preparing to hit the road in the United States this April and May on the “Generation Doom” tour, along with Otep, Lacey Sturm, Through Fire and Doll Skin. Watch the video for “Eye of the Storm” and see tour dates below. The single also is available for purchase on iTunes. (more…)
